Congratulations to Tristan, Jack and Leo for their galliant efforts in fundraising (over $3,000 was raised).
As at 20/5/22:
The World’s Greatest Shave is now an internationally renowned fundraising event for people all over the world to raise money and show support to the Leukemia and Lymphoma foundation, a foundation dedicated to furthering the development of treatment of blood cancer as well as providing ongoing support to families not able to support themselves, suffering from blood cancer.
Westbourne College will this year re-join the campaign to fight blood cancer when myself and 2 other DP1 students Leo, and Tristan, as well as friends from outside Westbourne College, similar to how Daisy from DP2 completed it last year, will be fundraising to cut off almost all our hair in support of Leukemia patients, on the 1st of June 2022!

All donations, through the Leukemia and Lymphoma foundation, will go directly to giving families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need. Donations will also fund vital research to help more people survive blood cancers, while improving their quality of life.
$30 provides an information pack to a family to help them understand and prepare for the challenges ahead following a scary and confronting new diagnosis.
$80 provides the first night of accommodation for a family who have urgently relocated for life‑saving treatment with nowhere to stay.
$150 means that the work of a PhD scholarship recipient is supported for another day. This brilliant scientist could discover the next great breakthrough towards a cure thanks to you.
Every dollar helps to further the life‑saving work of medical researchers. You will also ensure specialised care for a family through every scary, uncertain moment. All donations can be made here.
